Dauphinois burger with Président Camembert

Step 1
Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into uniform slices using a mandolin slicer.
Step 2
Season with ground nutmeg, table salt and ground pepper.
Step 3
In the meantime, bring the milk to the boil in a pan with half the Président Camembert cut into small pieces.
Step 4
Leave to cool then stir as you add the egg.
Step 5
Peel the garlic, then rub it around the inside of your dish.
Step 6
Arrange the potato slices in even layers, pour the infused milk over the top and sprinkle with some small knobs of Président slightly-salted butter.
Step 7
Cook in the oven, preheated to 180°, for between 30 and 40 minutes.
Step 8
While this cooks, slice your burger buns in half and lightly brown them.
Step 9
When you are ready to serve, put a generous portion of the potato and then a burger (which you will already have cooked in a non-stick pan) on the bottom half of each bun.
Step 10
Add some slices of Président Camembert and grill for 1 minute until the cheese starts to melt.
Step 11
Put the tops of the buns on top and serve piping hot.
