Step 1
Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces. Put them in a blender, add water and blend. Pour the mix into a small casserole dish, add the oil and the mustard.
Step 2
Cook on a low heat for about 10 minutes until all the water is gone – it will make a nice apple chutney – you know it’s ready when all the ingredients are well mixed together and it looks like jam - leave aside.
Step 3
With a brush (or fingers), delicately cover the top of the crackers with a bit of black treacle.
Step 4
With a spoon make a small quenelle shape with the chutney. Cut the Président Brie into slices and delicately put them on the top of the chutney.

Step 6
To slice, put the blade of your knife under hot water before cutting your cheese. It will help to make nice slices.
